Time with Tami
The story of Fluff Ambassador Tami and her guardian, Jiyoung
To her guardian, Tami is like a friend
who spends almost every moment of the day by her side.
Always close,
naturally woven into everyday life.
Sometimes, Tami seems smarter than anyone else.
And at other times, she passes by with the innocent
look of knowing nothing at all.
To her guardian, those are the most familiar
and lovable moments of Tami.
Q. What kind of presence is Tami to you?
Q. Does Tami have a time or routine when she feels most comfortable?
A.
Tami is truly like a friend to me.
She is with me almost every day,
throughout the entire day.
She is not only by my side during special moments,
but also when I eat, work, or take a short break.
She is naturally part of my everyday life.
So rather than simply calling
her a companion animal,
I feel she is closer to a best friend
who spends each day with me.

I think Tami feels most comfortable
when she is moving around and playing together,
rather than simply resting quietly.
She really loves playing with balls and tug toys,
so once we start, she hardly wants to stop.
If we keep playing without a break,
it can easily go on for two hours.
Sometimes all four family members have to take turns playing with her
because she has so much energy.
And she truly seems to enjoy that time.
For Tami, the time spent playing together
may be her most familiar and happiest routine.
Q. When do you feel Tami is most like
herself?
Q. Is there a moment with Tami that you
are especially grateful for?
A.
When Tami wants to be held,
she expresses her feelings very clearly.
She does not make a big fuss.
Instead, she gently places
her two front paws on my shoulder,
as if she is saying, “Hold me.”
Sometimes her timing can be
a little unexpected,
almost as if she has
no sense of timing at all.
But that is what makes
her feel the most like Tami.
The time she spends running outside
is also one of the moments Tami truly loves.
When I see her running with the wind,
or moving freely on the rooftop,
she looks the happiest.

When Ruki was unwell,
I spent almost half a year
taking care of him.
During that time,
I was not able to play with Tami
as much as I used to,
and there were moments
when I could not give her enough attention.
But Tami stayed by my side quietly,
as if she understood that time.
It is hard to put into words,
but the way Tami waited and looked
at me during that period
is still one of the moments
I am most grateful for.
Q. How do you feel about becoming a Fluff Ambassador?
A.
I’m truly happy to become a Fluff Ambassador.
I think we will now be able to capture
Tami’s everyday moments, her time of rest,
and the scenes we share together
in a more beautiful way.
Through this process,
we will also get to look more closely
at the time we spend with Tami.
We hope to show the moments
Tami and Fluff share together
in a way that feels natural, comfortable, and unforced.
In Tami’s everyday life,
where she stays true to herself,
Fluff will quietly be there as well.
